Saudi Reports More Than 250 Houthis Killed in Hodeidah Last Week

More than 250 Houthi militants have been killed in clashes south of Hodeidah in the last week, Saudi state-news agency SPA reported on Monday, citing Yemen’s army.

Among the 250 killed were 20 field commanders, and at least 143 militants were captured according to a statement from the Yemeni Ministry of Defense’s official website, September 26,.

The announcement came as the Yemeni army advanced toward the strategic coastal city of Hodeidah which is held by the Houthis.

The fighting occurred in Quba, which is located five kilometers south of the city’s airport.
