Saudi Arabia, Syria and Jordan signed Sunday a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on a railway project linking the three countries, reports said.
The railway project, which was signed by the three countries’ ministers, will be the central core of a comprehensive Arab railway network, said the Saudi Arabian Press Agency (SPA).
Earlier, the Saudi minister of communications Nasir Al Salloum and his Jordanian and Syrian counterparts, Nadir Al Dhahabi and Makram Obaid, respectively met to discuss “ways of enhancing cooperation among the three countries.”
“There is a dire need to increase the trade exchange between the three states and to utilize our resources and transportation facilities in all domains to achieve this goal,” Salloum said – Albawaba.com
