Saudi companies participating in the Kingdom's pavilion at the 15th Arab Travel Market, being held from 1-4 May 2007 at the Dubai International Convention & Exhibition Center, are occupied with arranging for bilateral  meetings with deputies of states and companies participating in the 2007 ATM for signing  mutual cooperation agreements. Some of Saudi companies could have made commercial deals, worth more than SR 20 million, and it is expected that more contracts will be coming soon. Saudi hotels and companies specializing in Hajj and Umrah, tourist trips, and air transport have intensified efforts to get more commercial contracts, whilst the aim of  other institutions is only  to give information about tourism industry and projects that are carried in the west of the Kingdom.

Many businessmen and investors who are interested in tourism sector came yesterday to visit the Kingdom's pavilion and entered into negotiations with Saudi companies deputies for signing commercial contracts.

Mr. Abdullah Al-Jahni, vice head of marketing and publicity department of the Supreme Commission for Tourism, emphasized that the Kingdom's pavilion at the 2007 ATM has achieved great results and outcomes. He added that visitors to the exhibition showed great interest in the Kingdom's historical, archaeological, and urban landmarks. Mr. Aljahni expressed his great gratitude to HRH Prince Sultan Bin Salman, Secretary General for High Commission of Tourism, for his participation in the exhibition activities.

On the other hand, the representatives of  other Saudi companies
indicated that they are about to sign new and profitable contracts with
several Arab, Asian, African, European and American countries and expected
that the value of these contracts would go beyond SR 30 million.

The ATM 2007 Saudi wing has been distinguished by the diversity and
modernity of display ways and methods which played a critical role in
attracting visitors to the Kingdom's pavilion whose activities were
completely covered by local and foreign media.

Saudi Arabian Airlines was the official carrier of all delegates
participating in the Kingdom's Pavilion at competitive prices.

Mr. Mohamed bin Ibrahim al-Shgiran, Head of Consulate Division of
Saudi Arabia Embassy to Abu Dhabi, visited the Kingdom's pavilion and,
in a press statement, said that SCT's contributions to the development of
tourism sector have become reality, adding that it is necessary to hold an
exhibition of this kind in Saudi Arabia.

The Kingdom's pavilion yesterday was a point of attraction to a large
number of visitors who are concerned with Saudi Arabia's heritage,
culture, and traditions.
