On Monday, Senegalese Charge'd Affairs, Cheikh Tidjani Sy hailed the humanitarian relief assistance delivered by the UAE to disaster areas around the world.
In particular, Cheikh Sy praised the recent assistance provided by the UAE Red Crescent Society (RCS) to the victims of torrential rains throughout the northern part of Senegal, according to WAM.
On his part, RCS assistant secretary general for external affairs, Saleh Mohammed Al Mullah, who met Cheikh Sy in Abu Dhabi Monday, pledged continued RCS assistance to those affected by torrential rains in Senegal. According to reports, over 100 thousand people have been affected.
The RCS provided a total of Dhs. 100,000 in relief assistance to Senegal last year. (Albawaba.com)
