At least seven people died and six were unwell after drinking moonshine in the southern Indian state of Andhra Pradesh, the United News of India reported Friday.
Police said the deaths occurred in Andhra Pradesh's Anantapur district Thursday after the villagers drank liquor from an illegal brewery.
The six others were in critical condition, hospital sources said.
