Seven Iraqi nationals bearing false identification papers were in custody in southwest Ecuador Saturday as part of the ongoing probe into the September 11 terrorist attacks on the United States, a police source said.
The arrests were made Friday in the port city of Guayaquil, said the source, who refused to provide any other details.
However, according to unconfirmed reports, the seven were taken off a ship that was about to leave for the United States -- QUITO (AFP)
