A recently published study has commended the UAE President, Shaikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan's role in preserving and reviving oriental cultures in general and Islamic and Arab cultures in particular as well as his extraordinary contributions in promoting inter-civilisational dialogue.
The book, titled: Studies on Oriental History and Culture, is written by famous orientalist and Charge 'd Affaires at the Armenian Embassy in Abu Dhabi, Professor Arshak Boladian. It has been published by the Zayed Centre for Coordination and Follow-Up.
Describing him as a living legend in the history of the Arab world, the book says Shaikh Zayed's leadership is unique, wise, pure and simple. It lauds Shaikh Zayed's efforts in maintaining peace and ensuring welfare, solidarity and devotion among all nations.
According to Khaleej Times, the book highlights the important role played by earlier Islamic rulers in spreading Arabic language, Arab culture. (albawaba.com)
