Sharjah Municipality has issued an order banning the use of offices and business premises in the emirate for the purpose of sleeping, Khaleej Times reported Thursday.
The order issued by Ahmed Fikri, the director of the municipality, strictly prohibits any person, either employee or the owner of the licensed business establishment, from sleeping in offices.
The director has authorized officials of the licensing section of the municipality to impose fine on people violating the order, the paper said -- Albawaba.com
