Sheikh Mohammed bin Saud Al Qasimi, son of Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, today paid an inspection visit to the Ras Al Khaimah Department of Civil Services.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Saud was welcomed by Dr. Mohammed Abdullatif Khalifa, Director General of RAK Civil Services Department and Hasan Mohammed Al Hashimi, Assistant Director General of the department.
During the visit, Sheikh Mohammed bin Saud was briefed on the new initiatives being implemented for increasing the strategic human resources capabilities of RAK Government as well as steps to streamline human resources management at government departments.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Saud toured the various sections of the department and interacted with section heads and employees. He appreciated the efforts being made to achieve the strategic goals of the department and promised all support to develop and maximize the human resource potential of government employees and their career development.
Dr. Mohammed Abdullatif Khalifa made a presentation outlining the achievements of the Department of Civil Services in attracting and retaining talent as well as steps taken to increase productivity and employee efficiency.
He said that RAK Civil Services Department is in the final stage of implementation of a latest Enterprise Resource Management solution as part of steps to enhance productivity at government departments. "The Department has also finalized a professional development training programme for all managerial and supervisory level employees which will be completed in 2010," he added.
Dr. Mohammed Abdullatif pointed out that a new performance appraisal system based on objectives and competencies has been introduced across various RAK Government departments.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Saud Al Qasimi was accompanied by Sheikh Abdullah bin Humaid bin Abdullah Al Qasimi, Office Manager of Ras Al Khaimah Crown Prince and Mohammed Al Khait, Advisor at the Ras Al Khaimah Ruler's Court.
