In the presence of Her Highness Sheikha Mohra Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Khaleeji Club at The American University in Dubai (AUD) hosted orphans and children with special needs, from Beit Al Kheir charitable institution in Dubai, to brighten their day with the jovial spirit of the Holy Eid. Mr. Elias Bou Saab, AUD's Executive Vice President, was present to meet and greet HH Sheikha Mohra and thanked her for her generous humanitarian contributions. Students and their families and friends gathered alongside the university's Faculty and Administrative personnel in a celebration that swept the children off their feet.
The children enjoyed the festive celebration that involved several fun activities, among which were bungee trampoline, rodeo bull, a jumping castle, petting zoo, henna tattooing, and face painting, and a dazzling performance by Dubai Drums, as well as delicacies and treats for everybody to savor.
Fabio Cannavaro, Italian professional footballer, who plays as a centre back for the UAE Football League Club Al-Ahli Dubai, was also present at the event to share the children their joy with the upcoming Eid. The event was concluded with HH Sheikha Mohra distributing gifts to the guest children.
The Khaleeji Club at The American University in Dubai organizes activities on a regular basis upholding the heritage of the UAE and celebrating its social and cultural aspects.
