A shopper’s paradise comes to Doha
Qatar Tourism and Exhibitions Authority announces the annual Doha Trade Fair 2009

Qatar Tourism and Exhibitions Authority announced today the 2009 edition of the Doha Trade Fair, to be held at the Doha Exhibitions Center, from June 11th  through June 20th .
This year’s event will be the biggest shopping event in Qatar, showcasing 514 stands displaying a wide range of products and services from exhibitors coming from all over the world. More than 400 companies registered from 20 different countries will join the event. Special pavilions have been designated for exhibitors from Iran, China, Pakistan, India, and guest Arab countries such as Egypt, Morocco, Kuwait, Lebanon, Syria, Bahrain, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates.
Visitors will be able to choose products from a wide array of international brands coming from countries as far as Australia, Italy, Canada, Korea, Thailand, Czech Republic, Turkey, and many more countries.
Every visitor will fulfill its dream of finding the most unique product among the 15,000 square meter exhibition space. Open non-stop from 11 am to 10 pm from Saturday to Thursday and from 4 pm to 11 pm on Fridays, the Doha Trade Fair 2009 ensures there is something for everyone under one roof.
Speaking during a press conference, Mr. Lahdan Al Mohannadi, Head of Organizing Local Exhibitions, explained: “Qatar Tourism and Exhibitions Authority is proud to host the 2009 edition of the Doha Trade Fair, which will gather for the first time exhibitors coming from so many diverse countries and offer a wider range of unique products.”
The Doha Trade Fair 2009 is organized by Maraya Public Relations.
Mr Jaber Al Mansouri, managing director of Al Maraya Public Relations Company, mentioned : “This trade fair will allow visitors to find different and new products, such as clothes, curtains, food, accessories, home supplies, decorations, games, sport equipments, art crafts, furniture and many other useful things.” Mr Al Mansouri added : “Doha Trade Fair 2009 stands as a special international trading and shopping experience for traders and businessmen to make successful as well as profitable bargains, as they can purchase large quantities of international products gathered under the same roof.”
Entrance is free and gifts will be given at the information counter.  100,000 visitors are expected from June 11th to June 20th.
