Siemens Communications, the leading global communications service provider is showcasing the strategic advantages of its HiPath VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) solutions for Middle East organisations in two seminars, being held on 03 and 05 April 2006 in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.  The seminars will outline the advantages of Siemens integrated communication solutions and include testimonials, case studies of successful implementations and expert speaker presentations.

The customer focused seminars will present the benefits of a fully converged IP network and demonstrate successful non-disruptive migration to such a network.  The discussion will include next-generation applications that can utilise the integration provided by the VoIP platform to boost productivity and positively impact business bottom lines.  The seminars will include presentations from Siemens executives, expert speakers, a programme manager from analyst group IDC and a guest speaker from Spescom, a Siemens partner from the UK.

Asim Sukhera, General Manager of Siemens Communications at Siemens LLC, commented:  “With Siemens convergence solutions, organisations are given the lateral flexibility to choose a migratory approach that works best for them.  While some may opt for complete swap-out, others would want a staggered approach that minimises disruption by using existing communications infrastructure within the new IP environment.  HiPath from Siemens has open interfaces, full interoperability and compliance with common communication solutions which allows the openness needed for step-by-step migration.”

Studies by Forrester Research suggest that scalable convergence platforms like the HiPath Real Time IP solution from Siemens can successfully reduce both call charges and administrative effort even in the short term.

Siemens Communications offers full-line portfolio of innovative solutions for voice and data communication.  Its comprehensive offerings range from devices right through to complex network infrastructures and services for wireless, fixed and enterprise networks.  The group operates a 54,500 strong workforce in more than 160 countries around the world and ended fiscal 2005 with sales exceeding 13 billion euros.

With over 20 years experience in the region, Siemens Communications is unique in that it is able to offer complete end to end service from consultation stage, to design through installation.  Siemens Communications is also able to provide complete 24x7 post sales service with consultants based locally.

Siemens Communications has successfully established integrated communications networks leveraging IP technology to provide enhanced functionality, data convergence and real time communication for several regional concerns.  Key projects include the implementation of Siemens HiPath 4000 IP system in the Dubai Kempinski Hotel; the phased delivery of Siemens HiPath 4000 IP solution and a call centre solution based on HiPath Multi Media ProCentre Solution for RAK Bank; and a fully integrated HiPath solution seamlessly supporting real time applications and unified messaging for the Dubai Gas Company (DUGAS).

“Siemens Communications is holding the seminars as a customer communication platform that will allow us to discuss various IP initiatives with existing and potential clients.  Integrative technology such as VoIP is a powerful enabler when applied to organisational business goals.  Our goal is to communicate potential benefits to customer representatives and ease the transition from conventional communication to IP,” concluded Sukhera.
