SOFEX to Exhibit at International Defence Industry Fair in Turkey
IDEF 2009 will be held on April 27-30
The Special Operations Forces Exhibition and Conference is participating at the 9th International Defence Industry Fair (IDEF) in Istanbul, Turkey. Exhibiting at IDEF will provide SOFEX with a platform to interact and liaise with the members of the International Defence sector in addition to confirming the participation of major national pavilions who have solidly expressed their intent to participate at the 8th edition of the SOFEX series that will take place in Amman, Jordan between the 10th and 13th of May 2010.
Mr. Amer Tabbah, Managing Director of SOFEX stated, “IDEF 2009 represents the next appointment for our team on the SOFEX 2010 preparatory agenda. Exhibiting at IDEF is one of the notable opportunities to convene with military decision makers, global defence giants and small and medium sized companies to discuss their participation at SOFEX 2010.”
SOFEX has acquired paramount ranking as a unique global gathering for showcasing the latest innovative Special Operations and homeland security solutions to combat today’s ever increasing security challenges. SOFEX 2008 saw the involvement of Turkey as a national pavilion for the very first time, substantially increasing its 2006 participation by nine-fold. The Turkish pavilion has already confirmed that it will be growing its exhibit space for SOFEX 2010.
At the previous edition of SOFEX last year, 34 national pavilions took part, represented by 319 companies and which attracted a record 12,000 visitors over the 3 day exhibition, including 101 delegations from 58 countries.
