Victor Emmanuel, the son of Italy's last king, returned to Italy on Monday with his family after half-century of exile imposed because of the monarchy's support for fascist dictator Benito Mussolini.
The family arrived in a private plane and was heading to private audience with Pope John Paul II at the Vatican, RAI state television said in an exclusive report.
The report added the family would return to their home in Switzerland in the evening. (Albawaba.com)
