The Kingdom of Bahrain will have a new cabinet early next week, just a few days before the expected announcement of the new appointed members of the upper chamber of the parliament, the Shura Council, high-ranking sources confirmed on Monday.

The sources, speaking to Gulf News on condition of anonymity, conveyed that, "Sunday, likely, is the date," for the resignation of the current cabinet, set up when King of Bahrain, Sheikh Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa ascended to the throne in March 1999, and the appointment of the new one.

Speculations about the new government have grasped Bahrain for several weeks now with local papers quoting unnamed 'informed sources' on a day-to-day basis.

But, the constitution stipulates that a new government has to be in place before the beginning of the first legislative session in mid-December. (Albawaba.com)
