Spanish rice producer Herba has opened a Dh45 million ($4.9 million) factory at Larache through its local subsidiary, MundiRiz, Upline Securities reported.
The factory has a production capacity of 4,000 kilograms per hour and is intended to serve the local market, although any surpluses may eventually be marketed in other Maghreb countries. Herba is the leading European rice producer and ranks second worldwide – Albawaba.com
