The un-audited financial results of SQL Star International Limited for the quarter ended and half year ended September 30, 2006 were approved at the Board Meeting held here today.
For the quarter ended September 30, 2006, the net profit after tax grew sharply by 73% at Rs. 63.08 lakhs as against Rs. 36.45 Lakhs during the corresponding quarter of previous year. Its total income also steeply rose to Rs. 1037.44 lakhs for the quarter ended September 30, 2006 as against Rs. 761.60 Lakhs for the same period previous year, registering a growth of 36%.
For the six months ended September 30, 2006, the company recorded a total income of Rs. 2217.99 Lakhs and a net profit after tax of Rs. 42.22 Lakhs, against a total income of Rs. 1257.24 Lakhs and a net loss of Rs. 6.07 Lakhs during the corresponding six months period of previous year, registering a growth of 76% in total income.
On a consolidated basis (including its wholly owned subsidiaries), the company has posted a net profit of Rs. 76.02 Lakhs on a total income of Rs. 3365.69 Lakhs for the half year ended September 30, 2006.
Commenting on the results SQL Star International Limited CMD Mr. N R Ganti said, “Growth in all business segments has contributed to these results. As a part of inorganic growth strategy, SQL Star International Limited has acquired US based IT services company during the last fiscal, which helped in registering higher revenue growth from Software Services segment.”
