Stars of London’s West End to take on Dubai
DG+ celebrates its position as Dubai’s premier Audio Video luxury boutique by hosting musical extravaganza
DG+, Dubai’s newest high-end audio video luxury store located at Times Square Center in Dubai, will be hosting ‘Encore’, a celebration of the greatest musicals of our time, at the Madinat Theatre between 26-29 November 2008. The show will feature formal compilations of songs from famous West End shows like Phantom of the Opera, Chicago, Mamma Mia and others, performed by some of the original stars.
‘Encore’ is sure to be a delightful treat for theatre and music lovers as West End theatre is considered to represent the highest level of commercial theatre in the English-speaking world. Earl Carpenter of Les Misérables fame will be performing alongside other vocal greats like Annette Yeo from Mamma Mia, Annette McLaughlin from Chicago, Rohan Tickell from Phantom of the Opera and Ima Castro from Miss Saigon.
Earl Carpenter currently heads the cast of the world’s longest-running musical Les Misérables. He has played principal and title roles in a number of prolific productions and has made several concert appearances around the UK. Ima Castro, a ‘miracle from Manila’, has won several local and international ‘Best Singer’ awards and has a gold record to her credit. Annette Yeo is an acclaimed singer, writer and producer. Her theatre credits are diverse and significant having played principal roles in West End productions such as the Phantom Of The Opera, the original cast of Mamma Mia and the award winning City Of Angels among others. Annette McLaughlin is a writer and performer in a comedy show and has played roles on television and film. She has appeared in several theatre productions, most notably Chicago. Rohan Tickell is a theatre veteran, having appeared in numerous world famous productions as well as concerts.
