A group of baboons waited three days to take revenge on a Saudi motorist who ran over one of their number, Al-Riyadh newspaper reported Saturday.
The stone-throwing baboons ambushed the driver on the same mountain road from Mecca to Taif in southwest Saudi Arabia on which the animal was mowed down earlier in the week.
The motorist escaped unhurt but his windscreen was shattered, after one of the monkeys cried out a signal for the attack after spotting the car, said Al-Riyadh.
The Gulf state is home to around 350,000 baboons, according to Saudi papers – RIYADH (AFP)
