ALBAWABA -Mehr News Agency reported Sunday that echoes of a powerful explosion were reported in the city of Chabahar in Sistan and Baluchestan Province, southeastern Iran.

No further details have been released yet on the cause or exact location of the explosion.

Several Iranians took to social media to confirm they heard a strong explosion sound. A person wrote on X, "Today, Sunday, 1405/02/20 at 12:54, the sound of a massive #explosion was heard in Chabahar, as if something fell on the roofs of houses."

Another person said, "Just minutes ago, the sound of a loud explosion was heard in the city of Chabahar."

The explosion in the city of Chabahar was caused by the destruction of remaining ammunition from the war.

This comes amid a shaky situation between the United States and Iran and fears of the collapse of the ceasefire as talks - mediated by Pakistan- are failing to reach a final peace deal.

In addition, Kuwait's Ministry of Defense announced today the detection and "dealing with" of "hostile" drones.
