Back-to-back suicide bombings in the Daesh-held Iraqi city of Ramadi on Wednesday have killed at least 12 security troops, Associated Press reported.
Iraqi officials speaking with AP said suicide bombers rammed Humvees laden with explosives into forces deployed near the University of Ramadi Wednesday morning.
An additional eight troops were wounded in the attack, the officials told AP, speaking on the condition of anonymity.
Iraqi government forces recaptured the university from Daesh militants after hours of fierce clashes Sunday as part of their push to reclaim territory across the embattled western province, AP reported.
