At least four Iraqi soldiers were killed in a suicide bombing Monday in northern Baghdad, according to an army officer.

A bomber blew himself up at the entrance of a military camp in Taji at Baghdad’s northern outskirts, captain Hassan al-Noufal told Anadolu Agency.

“Four soldiers were killed and 12 others injured in the attack,” he said.

There has been no claim of responsibility for Monday’s attack.

Iraq has suffered a security vacuum since mid-2014, when Daesh captured the northern city of Mosul and overran large swathes of territory in the northern and western parts of the country.
