Suicide car bombs have killed ten Iraqi troops in the Daesh stronghold Ramadi, authorities told AP on Sunday.

Police and army officials said the first four explosions occurred around the same time and targeted police officers in southern Ramadi, killing five and wounding 15. Another three suicide bombers drove their cars into the gate of the Anbar Operation Command later in the day, AP reported, killing another five soldiers and injuring 12.

Iraqi security forces have been clashing with Daesh militants since the extremists first took hold of the province last week.

The US expedited weapon shipping to Iraq on Saturday to support the government's fight against the militants.
