Superb Chiarentin drives to Hyundai finals
Marino Chiarentin and Les Brown secured qualifying positions for the Hyundai World Golf finals with excellent performances at the UAE qualifier at the Jebel Ali Golf Resort & Spa’s Resort Course. Marino played steady golf for 18 holes with the highlight being a birdie on the par five 9th hole culminating in a net 68 score - 4 under par.
Les Brown started his round a little shakily with a poor first hole before settling to a net 72 score enough to qualify for the Finals at Jeju Island in Korea in May. The
Nearest to the Pin prize on Hole 17 was won by Ahmad Shams and the Longest Drive in the Fairway was claimed by Alex Zanetti on the thirteenth hole.
Hyundai set up this high class event with outstanding expertise and planning which has been run in numerous countries around the world. Players have qualified from each regional tournament for the extravaganza in South Korea.
All Press members were able to test drive the new Genesis model car which was on display around the Jebel Ali Golf course. The prizes for the event were handed out by Mr. B.T. Shin the Head of the Regional Hyundai office in UAE and Mr. Isam Abu Nabah the president of Juma Al Majid Est.- Hyundai in UAE.
