suzuki saudia awards winners of competition for best maintained suzuki swift cars

Event aims to promote responsible car ownership as 90 percent of Swift purchases in the KSA are from the youth sector

Suzuki Saudia, the sole distributor of Suzuki vehicles in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, has announced that it has recently awarded prizes to two of its clients who have topped a competition for the best maintained Suzuki Swift car in the KSA. The highly successful initiative was aimed at creating awareness about the excellent features of the Swift, and promoting responsible car ownership in the Kingdom, where more than 90 percent of Swift car purchases are from the youth market segment.

"We organized this competition to create a positive impact on car owners and also to encourage others to be part of the growing community of Swift car owners. Suzuki Saudia hopes that through this competition, we can create a culture of responsible car ownership, which will deliver beneficial results to individual car owners and the community as well," said Ahmad Al Shamaile, Sales Manager, Suzuki Saudia.

"We have received a very good response as owners eagerly showcased their well-maintained Swift cars for the competition. We are looking forward to creating more campaigns that reward our clients for their efforts in keeping their cars safe, clean and attractive," added Shamael.

Mr. Abdel Aziz Ali Bin Halaby the first winner, owner of a black Swift car, and Mr. Dahyan Hammoud Al Oteibi, the second winner, owner of a red Swift car, topped the four-week competition held beginning of summer 2007, and were awarded a 6 GB iPod each during a ceremony held on September 3rd, 2007.

The criteria for judging were engine performance and durability, exterior and interior cleanliness of the vehicle particularly the car seats, paint colour of the car, and condition of the car body (no damage or scratches). Swift owners sent a copy of their vehicle registration, owner's ID, and a photo of their Swift car to qualify for the competition. Suzuki also conducted a direct mail and SMS campaign to promote the event.
