Two extreme sports tour guides have been jailed following the death of an American tourist during a bungy jump that went wrong, the court at Interlaken said.
The death in May of the 21-year-old tourist was due to "gross negligence" on the part of the "Adventure World" guides who received five months prison terms on Thursday,
Details on the identity of the guides were not given, in accurse with Swiss law.
One of the guides had mixed up color-coded ropes, and an elastic rope, which was too long, was used in the fatal jump.
