President Bashar Al Assad of Syria will visit Yemen on Monday for regional and bilateral talks with President Ali Abdullah Saleh, reported the official Saudi News Agency (SPA).
The two presidents will discuss issues related to boosting joint Arab work, ways of supporting the Palestinian people in their struggle against Israeli aggressions, said the agency.
Assad was to meet with Palestinian President Yasser Arafat Wednesday, but the latter’s visit to Damascus was postponed to next Wednesday due to the massive attacks on the United States, his top aide Nabil Abu Rudeina said on Wednesday.
He was due to hold talks with Syrian President Bashar Assad and other senior officials.
Arafat’s visit to Syria has been delayed for a several of occasions.
He last met Assad during the Amman Arab summit held in March – Albawaba.com
