Syrian Foreign Minister, Walid Moallem, met Tuesday with British Minister of State for Middle East Affairs, Evan Lewis, SANA news agency reported. During the talks, the Syrian minister stressed that the main obstacle to peace in the region is the lack of Israeli political will.
In a statement to reporters, Lewis said that he had held "constructive and open dialogue" with Moallem. According to him, the talks discussed the need for the achievement of peace in the Middle East.
