Lebanese Army Intelligence arrested Monday two deserters from the Syrian Army in southeast Lebanon, security sources told The Daily star.
The deserters, identified as Mohammad Haji and Hekmat Idris, were arrested in Rashaya.
Haji and Idris fled Syria because they no longer wished to take part in the violence there, the sources said.
Lebanon has previously arrested Syrian army deserters.
An investigation with the two deserters is under way.
