A 43-year-old Syrian man received a 13-year prison term on Wednesday after the Criminal Court in Amman declared him guilty of sodomizing and molesting his underage daughter in the city of Salt in 1998 and 1999, the Jordan Times reported Thursday.
The defendant, a blacksmith with an elementary school education, was found guilty of sodomizing, raping and impregnating his 15-year-old daughter in their house in Salt, said the daily.
According to court transcripts, over a four-month period, the defendant repeatedly entered his daughter's room while she slept, sodomized her and finally raped her. the girl became pregnant and eventually gave birth.
“I could not tell anyone because my father threatened to hurt me if I told anyone, and he continued to have sex with me when I was pregnant and the last time was few hours before delivery,” she told the court and the authorities, said the daily – Albawaba.com
