Syrian Information Minister Adnan Omran received Wednesday evening Mayor of the Italian city of Bishli Franscisco Napolitano and an accompanying delegation.
During the meeting, talks focused on a wide-range of issues, notably the relations between the two brotherly countries and means of enhancing them.
Omran, for his part, conveyed that the historical relations between Damascus and Rome have lately witnessed new progress, due to President Bashar Al-Assad’s directions, SANA reported.
In addition, he stressed the existence of opportunities for development in various fields, especially the cultural field, stressing the importance of exerting further efforts for building a relationship in all areas, so that peace could be reached and occupation in the world removed.
