Syria’s Deputy Prime Minister, Defense Minister First Lt. General Mustafa Tlass, accompanied by high-ranking officials visited Saturday the Russian missile frigate “Moscow” and the accompanied escorting ship “Betlyvie”, which are currently on a three-day visit to Syria.
General Tlass was greeted by the voyage’s commander Admiral Arlov, the frigate’s commander, several navy officers, Russian military attaché in Syria and senior Russian military advisors, according to the official Syrian Arab News Agency.
Tlass invested several Russian officers with the Syrian orders of training of the first grade and exchanged shields and presents with Admiral Arlov and the frigate’s and ship’s commanders.
The frigate’s commander, in return, delivered a briefing regarding the frigate’s equipment and armament. (Albawaba.com)
