Syria’s President Bashar al-Assad received in Damascus on Monday, Lebanese Army Commander, Lt. Gen. Michael Suleiman.
During the meeting, talks focused on relations between the two armies in addition to regional developments.
Earlier Monday, the Lebanese Army Commander, accompanied by a military delegation, arrived in the Syrian capital and was received by Syrian Chief of General Staff of the Army and Armed Forces, Lt. Gen. Hasan Tourkmani and top army officers, SANA reported.
Both sides discussed “brotherly relations and cooperation between the two armies and countries” as well as ways of strengthening them in the interest of the two armies.
In addition, they reviewed developments in the region, especially the deteriorated situation in the occupied Palestinian territories. (Albawaba.com)
