Syrian President Bashar Al Assad received on Saturday a letter from British Prime Minister Tony Blair, the contents of which were not disclosed.
The letter was conveyed by Blair's envoy, Charles Powell, during a meeting with Assad, in presence of Syrian Foreign Minister Farouq Al Shara, reported the official Kuwaiti news agency (KUNA).
A Syrian presidential spokesman said that the talks tackled current contacts and consultations in the aftermath of the recent terrorist attacks on the US.
Assad talked with Blair a few days ago by phone about terrorism and the necessity of fighting it, in addition to the suspended peace process between the Arabs and Israel – Albawaba.com
