Syria’s President Bashar al-Assad received on Sunday, Polish President, Alexander Kavashivinski accompanied by Minister of Defense and Head of the National Security Bureau.
Syria’s Foreign Minister Farouk al-Shara and Poland’s Ambassador to Damascus attended the meeting as well.
In the course of the meeting, talks focused on the latest regional developments, in particular the Iraqi issue and the situation in the Palestinian territories, according to SANA news agency.
In addition, talks dealt with bilateral relations between the two countries and ways of strengthening them in all fields, since “Syria is a non-permanent member of the Security Council and Poland is to join the EU”, SANA expressed.
Both sides also discussed the work of the Polish Unit at the UNDOF at the Syrian occupied Golan. (Albawaba.com)
