Syrian Prime Minister receives Greek assistant Foreign Minister for talks

Syria’s Prime Minister Mohamed Mostafa Miro received in Damascus Sunday, Greek assistant Foreign Minister Andrias Lofardos and an accompanying delegation. 

 

During the meeting, talks focused on historical cooperation between the two countries and ways of enhancing these 

relations in the fields of culture, economy, commerce and tourism. 

 

The Prime Minister, for his part, emphasized the importance of activating the role of the joint Syrian-Greek Committee in developing the signed agreement and signing new ones. 

 

In addition, talks dealt with the latest developments in the region, Israeli “aggression and terrorism” against the Palestinian people and the importance of applying the international resolutions that stipulate for the Israeli withdrawal from all Arab occupied territories, according to SANA news agency. 

 

Moreover, they stressed the importance of applying the resolutions of the Security Council that stipulate for preventing any American strike against Iraq and lifting the siege imposed on the people of Iraq, the agency added. (Albawaba.com)
