Syrian rebels fighting Bashar al-Assad's forces near Aleppo claim to have received a new shipment of US-made weapons, Reuters reports.
A number of rebels from three Free Syrian Army linked groups came forward to speak with Reuters about the development.
The arms shipment included US-made anti-tank missiles, but the rebels say that the weapons are not sufficient to win the battle against regime forces.
Syrian rebels began fighting Daesh in the areas around Aleppo, reportedly freeing the village of Tal Jabin from the extremists. However, this victory was short lived as Assad's forces, back by Russian airstrikes, soon launched an offensive against the rebels in the same region.
