About 30 Syrian refugees were wounded during a clash that erupted in a refugee camp in south Lebanon Friday, although the cause of the fight was not immediately clear.
Participants used sticks and knives, a source told The Daily Star, adding that the violence erupted either because of a dispute over the distribution of food aid in the Tyre refugee camp or because of an argument between the children of two families.
Civil Defense units who rushed to the scene to halt the clashes were assaulted by some of the refugees. Medic Moussa Zein was among the Civil Defense personnel who were wounded.
