Syrian-American dialogue meetings concluded in Damascus on Wednesday with both sides understanding that the sessions were “constructive and beneficial”, the official Syrian Arab New Agency reported.
Views were reviewed and a clear understanding of many important regional issues, Syrian-American and Arab–American relations, was reached, the agency added.
The three-day meetings of Syrian and American intellectuals and businessmen focused on the dangerous situation in the occupied Palestinian territories, the Peace Process, Iraqi crisis, Security Council resolutions, exerted efforts to avoid military solutions and the issue of terrorism, it added.
Talks on Syrian-American bilateral relations were held during the several-day dialogue, with a focus on economic and cultural ties.
The Syrian and American participants expressed affirmation over the value and importance of such dialogue, insisting on its continuity in the future. (Albawaba.com)
