Syrian Vice President Abdel Halim Khaddam held talks on Tuesday with Chinese President Jiang Zemin on bilateral and regional issues.
Khaddam arrived in Beijing on Wednesday.
The official Syrian news agency, SANA, said that Khaddam delivered a message from President Bashar Al Assad to Zemin that dealt with ways to bolster cooperation in various fields, as well the latest developments in the Middle East, said SANA.
For his part, Zemin reiterated China’s support for a just and comprehensive peace in the Middle East, based on implementing UN resolutions – Albawaba.com
