Syria's Vice President Abdulhaleem Khaddam received in the capital of Damascus Sunday Lebanese Foreign Minister Jen Obeid.
During the meeting, talks focused on Iraq and its repercussions on the entire region.
The two agreed on the need to support the Iraqi people in restoring their sovereignty and choosing their independent government without any foreign interference, according to SANA news agency.
