T. Gargour & Fils Co. Supports the Kingdom’s First Neurosurgery Conference and Holds Internal Fund Raising Campaign in Relief of Gaza

In utter commitment to its national spirit and community development, T. Gargour & Fils Co. commenced its philanthropic activities for 2009 by supporting a Neurosurgery conference organized by The World International Federation of Neurosurgical Societies (WFNS) in collaboration with various international committees specialized in medical education: World International Initiative for Education (WIIC), Jordanian Society Skull Base Surgery and Ibn Al Haytham Hospital,

The specialized workshop aims to equip medical professionals with the latest and most advanced of surgical and medical information, especially those residing in countries with difficult circumstances preventing its medical staff from traveling to global medical conferences and acquiring new skills, which applies for the Middle East especially for the afflicted areas of war surrounding the Kingdom including Palestine and Iraq.

The workshop included 28 international speakers volunteering their time and enlightening regional physicians and surgeons with the cutting edge Neurosurgery. Over 350 professionals attended the workshop and commended its pioneer nature and benefits resulting on both local and regional level.

On another front, T. Gargour & Fils Co. has expanded its corporate social responsibility and crossed the Kingdom’s borders. An internal fund raising initiative was held in order to collect monetary and in-kind contributions accounting for thousands of JDs for the purpose of relieving the afflicted victims of Gaza.

In parallel with this initiative, the company’s management and staff have donated aids in support of Gaza and its victims of the recent Israeli attacks. The donations were transferred to specialized relief organizations in Gaza through the Jordan River Foundation. “Alleviating suffering of our brothers and sisters in Gaza is a national duty amongst all of us thus, contributing to the advancement of the region’s medical industry is the least we can do to take part in restoring the well being of our nation and its prosperity,” stated Nadim Gargour, Chairman, T. Gargour & Fils Co.
