A Taliban official has denied in a statement to the Qatar-based Al Jazeera satellite channel that one of their leader’s sons was killed in the US attacks.
The BBC reported earlier on Sunday that a ten-year-old son of Taliban leader Mullah Mohammed Omar had died after an attack on Afghanistan.
The boy was allegedly wounded in the first night of the US-led strikes on the southern city of Kandahar, suffering a broken leg and severe abdominal injuries.
He died later in hospital despite receiving treatment, the BBC said, citing a doctor who said he treated the boy and was now trying to flee across the border to Pakistan – Albawaba.com
