TDME expands Cisco team
 New team to focus on tier 2 business in SME sector in North & South Gulf; invests in local account manager and inventory in Kuwait


Track Distribution FZ LLC (TDME), a division of Aptec Holdings and one of the Middle East's leading IT distributors, has expanded its Cisco business unit with the appointment of a local account manager in Kuwait and the promotion of Peter D'souza as Regional Sales Manager for North & South Gulf (Oman, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, Yemen, Afghanistan). D'souza will be based in TDME's main office in UAE and oversee Cisco sales in the region. TDME is the strategic distributor for Cisco Systems in the Middle East.

"We have seen substantial business growth (especially in the SME (small to medium enterprise) sector) in the Northern Gulf and felt it was time to expand and invest in the right people on the ground to help tap into this lucrative market segment," said Shailendra Sainani, Deputy General Manager for TDME. "We expect our Cisco business to double in the next year from this sector."
 
According to Sainani, the level of investment in IT infrastructure in the SME segment in North and South Gulf is the highest in the region with companies in Kuwait and Qatar investing the most in new infrastructure. In addition to the addition to the team, TDME will also hold local stocks to provide their tier 2 partners with ready inventory and immediate delivery.

These new appointments are in line with TDME's objective of providing a team of highly experienced and dedicated product management experts, including pre-sales & sales for each of its technology sectors. This division will identify and train potential tier-2 channel partners to specifically address the needs of this growing sector through road shows and events in the North and South Gulf.
