Reiterating its commitment to support its growing partner community, Tech Access, the region’s leading value-added IT distributor of network and enterprise technology solutions, is taking steps to continue increasing its market share in the Saudi Arabia.

The company demonstrated solutions from its vendor partners like Sun Microsystems, Caspian, Symantec, Mercury, Net App and Blackspider, among others, at this year’s Gitex in Saudi Arabia. Tech Access provides a range of bespoke additional services, such as pre-sales and marketing, and has an extensive distribution network, with over forty partners across the Middle East, North Africa and Pakistan.

“To keep ahead of the game in the Middle East technology sector, companies need to respond quickly to the demands of the market,” said Shomail Ghalib, managing director, Tech Access. “By partnering with some of the leading vendors, we provide best of breed technology solutions to our customers. The regional market for information technology services is booming, especially in Saudi Arabia where IT spending is expected to cross over US$ 6 billion in 2006, up from analyst estimates of US$ 3.2 billion in 2005. The Kingdom’s massive public sector outlay represents huge growth opportunities for vendors and resellers and we have seen considerable growth for Tech Access and our growing partner community.”

In order to be closer to its partners and customers in Saudi Arabia, Tech Access plans to open an office in Saudi Arabia. To support its partner network, the company currently has four offices in the region including satellite offices in Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Morocco. The expansion of the Dubai-based company – which provides resellers with a number of value added services, including pre-sales support, partner relationship management, consultancy, training, marketing, plus professional services and technical support – adds a new layer of partner services for resellers across the Middle East and provides them with direct link to a team of specialist sales and configuration experts.

At Gitex, Tech Access delegates also briefed the company’s partner network on its strategy for the year ahead. “By meeting our customers and partner community, and listening to their feedback on emerging market opportunities, we hope to discover new business openings from which all our vendors will benefit,” said Ghalib.

“The real value of Tech Access lies in the expertise we have built up in the Middle East, and the close relationships we have created with each channel partner. GITEX attendees had a chance to see first-hand how we approach our sales and marketing strategy, and hopefully gain an insight they can incorporate into their own business. We see tremendous growth in outsourcing services, banking solutions and the storage sector in 2006.  Tech Access is proactively building a team to handle all aspects of outsourcing needs and at the same time ramping up expertise in other areas including core banking solutions. We plan to work very closely with channel partners to backfill their IT solutions and service requirements,” he added.
