TECHNIDATA and BADER SULTAN & BROS are pleased to announce the signature of a commercial agreement under which BADER SULTAN & BROS becomes the distributor  of TD-Synergy, TECHNIDATA’s Laboratory Information System, in Kuwait, Qatar, and Oman. To continue its expansion in the Middle East, TECHNIDATA will also be exhibiting at the upcoming edition of MEDLAB in Dubai, from 26-29 January, 2009, on the French Pavilion stand. MEDLAB is an integral part of ARAB HEALTH, the largest medical exhibition in the Middle East.

A first step for TECHNIDATA in the Middle East
Thanks to an aggressive R&D strategy, TECHNIDATA solutions provide a high level of performance and flexibility, thus satisfying local regulations and meeting requirements in many different countries. It has consequently become the premier global supplier of clinical and anatomic-pathology Laboratory Information Systems (LIS). With Corporate Headquarters based in France, three Regional Headquarters for the Americas, Asia-Pacific and EMEA, and a network of selected partners throughout the world, the company’s software products are now distributed in more than 25 countries. Today TECHNIDATA launches its expansion into Kuwait.

“We are delighted to partner an established and respected distributor of Health products and services in Kuwait. This illustrates our clear commitment to serving the needs of customers in the Gulf Cooperation council countries”, says Eric RUEDA, Sales Manager of TECHNIDATA EMEA.

Leading-edge solutions to computerize clinical laboratories
The TD-Synergy suite combines carefully chosen and tested technology, serving all laboratory disciplines. The company places a constant focus on improving laboratory efficiency and patient safety. TD-Synergy manages patient data in the laboratory, from request creation, secure sample identification using barcode labels, and sample management, to reporting of results. It optimizes workflow and turnaround time, reduces costs and increases efficiency, while ensuring traceability and quality control measures to minimize medical errors. Thanks to a customizable auto-verification engine, TD-Synergy enables the laboratory staff to focus their expertise on truly questionable cases.

To pursue its continued focus on patient safety, in the latest version of the TD-Synergy microbiology module which will be presented at MEDLAB 2009, TECHNIDATA introduces new alert mechanisms to warn hospital staff by email or SMS when particular events are identified. For example, the system could send an immediate alert when new resistance is identified on a particular organism, when a risk of infection is detected, or when the rate of MRSA* has reached a predefined threshold in the Intensive Care Unit.

“There is real demand for advanced laboratory Information Systems, and in particular for microbiology with its very specific lab workflows. TECHNIDATA’s expertise in this area allows it to supply proven software products which respond closely to the users’ needs. We have already planned to install two hospitals in the next six months and have other projects in the pipeline, which is very encouraging”, explains Khaled ABU-DAWOOD, Informatics Manager of BADER SULTAN & BROS.
