TECOM Investments, a diversified conglomerate and a member of Dubai Holding, today announced the appointment of Badr Al Gergawi as the new Chief Executive Officer of TAMDEEN, a specialist firm in technical project management and a member of TECOM Investments.

Al Gergawi was formerly the Chief Operating Officer of TAMDEEN and played a key role in its foundation and growth. Earlier, he worked as Director of Infrastructure with Dubai Properties Group, which he joined in 2005.
Al Gergawi said: "It is a privilege to be given an opportunity to lead TAMDEEN, the project management firm specialized in master planning, infrastructure management, building project management, engineering solutions and design development.
"My key objective in my new position will be to maintain TAMDEEN's status in delivering state-of-the-art services to business partners. I will work with the management team to drive TAMDEEN's growth and effectively translate its goals and vision."
Extensively experienced in civil and infrastructure engineering and business management, Al Gergawi started his career with Dubai Municipality as Construction Engineer and went on to become the Head of Roads Planning Section. He later headed the Roads Construction Section at Dubai Municipality.
Al Gergawi holds a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from the UAE University and has an MBA from the American University in Dubai. He has also completed the Dubai Holding LEADON Program for future leaders.
Tamdeen is currently implementing various projects including the Dubai Biotechnology and Research Park (DuBiotech) and the Energy and Environment Park (ENPARK), both members of TECOM Investments. The company has also helped develop the infrastructure for other TECOM business parks including Dubai Studio City, the Middle East's first dedicated film and broadcast production cluster, as well as Dubai Internet City, one of the largest managed ICT clusters.
