Tefal’s participation in the premiere food expo “Taste of Dubai,” concluded on a bright note and helped in creating awareness on the health benefits of modern cooking using new improved products.
‘Nutritious and Delicious,’ range of Cooking Appliances designed and prepared healthy meals featured at the “Taste of Dubai exhibition,” with a live cooking demonstration by Arabic Chef Maher.
Tefal, inventors of non-stick frying pots and pans used the “Taste of Dubai” exhibition as a platform to showcase new concepts in healthy cooking using revolutionary new products. During the “Taste of Dubai” show, the chef offered a wealth of cooking advice, including recipes, cooking techniques and practical tips and features useful to culinary students, housewives and food lovers alike using the new Tefal Nutricook, Actifry and Vitacuisine.

The “Nutritious and Delicious,” range this year featured Nutricook - the first pressure cooker in the world with four exclusive cooking programmes in addition to Vitacuisine a versatile steamer, and Tefal Actifry, a revolutionary fryer which can cook a kilo of crispy French Fries with just one spoon of oil, with fat content of only 3%.
Nutricook Is part of Tefal’s Nutritious and Delicious range of products born from the desire to combine nutrition and pleasure and to respond to new requirements and consumer demand. Tefal’s Research and Development department revealed that steam cooking is without a doubt the method that best retains the nutritional qualities of food.
Nutricook uses an air vent system that activates automatically when cooking starts. The vent eliminates up to 90% of the oxygen present in the pressure cooker. Oxygen has been found to degrade food quality.
Other features of Nutricook are the optimized steamer basket developed based on cutting edge research on the steam flow inside the pressure cooker during cooking. The steam first flushes out the oxygen and then accelerates the cooking process.
The solid wall of the Nutricook basket prevents the oxygen from coming back into contact with the food. The other innovation in this product is the use of gentle steam towards the end of the cooking process to cook the core of meat for example without overdoing the meat surface. Thanks to all these features Nutricook allows a custom made cooking for each food group: Vegetables, Starchy foods, meat, fish.
“Taste of Dubai,” is now widely considered one of the must-attend events in the UAE. This year’s event saw some world-famous chefs from the city’s most-acclaimed restaurants create a memorable four days for food lovers by recreating a spectacular array of their star dishes’.
In addition, visitors to Tefal’s stand at Taste of Dubai were in for a special treat – Tefal gave participants a unique opportunity to “Take home a chef” - to experience an intimate cooking master class with new Executive Chef Scott Price and the team from Verre by Gordon Ramsay.
The lucky winner had the opportunity to take home the chef and invite a group of six for a cooking demonstration and three-course Gordon Ramsay meal.
