Iran has freed twenty more Iraqi prisoners left over from the 1980-1988 war, an Iraqi foreign ministry official said on Tuesday.
"Iran yesterday, Monday, proceeded to liberate 20 Iraqi prisoners," according to Abdel Moneim Al-Qadi, the chairman of the foreign ministry's judicial committee, AFP reported.
He added that Iraqi and Iranian officials had met in the border region of Monzariya, some 170 kilometers northeast of the capital Baghdad to arrange the hand-over. (Albawaba.com)
