Tens of Palestinians Injured in Clashes with Israeli forces in Jerusalem, West Bank and Gaza

Israeli border guards fired rubber bullets on Friday on Palestinian demonstrators throwing stones near Bab-al-Asbat, reported Al-Jazeera TV channel, adding that ten Palestinians have been injured so far in the Holy City. Meanwhile, dozens of Palestinians were hurt in clashes throughout Palestine. 

The clashes erupted shortly after the end of Friday prayers at the al-Aqsa mosque, where around 15,000 Palestinians had gathered, a week after violent confrontations there left seven people dead. 

Sporadic clashes also erupted in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip where tens of thousands of Palestinians spilled into the streets after prayers on Friday, which several Palestinian groups had declared a "day of rage" to protest the tide of deadly violence across the territories over the past week, according to AFP. 

In the West Bank city of Qalqilia, witnesses said at least 25 people were injured in heavy clashes as Israeli soldiers fired live and rubber bullets on some 1,000 demonstrators, AFP said, adding that violence also erupted in Tulkarim where fourteen people were injured. 

Also, in Nablus, fifty thousand Palestinian protestors were heading for Alon Morei  

Settlement, according to Al-Jazeera TV report, which said that Palestinians from villages around the city are also heading towards the settlement.  

In the Gaza Strip flashpoint of Netzarim, four people were injured, hospital sources told AFP. 

Palestinian security sources said Israeli forces had shelled a building near the Netzarim junction, injuring one person, AFP said - (Several Sources)
